Sometimes you JUST need to get out of the house and interact with other adults. I get it. Here is a list of my favorite activities for moms and littles in the area. Keep in mind, I don’t know EVERYTHING that’s going on, so I’m going to rely on you to message me if I am missing something so I can add it in!
Mother’s Haven groups and classes: Mother’s Haven is host to several weekly support groups (Mom’s, Moms of walking and crawling babies, and of course the breastfeeding support group, which is hosted by a certified lactation consultant). They also have many classes (some free and some with a cost) about babywearing, cloth diapering, essential oils, breastfeeding, and more. Check out their list of classes and support groups.
La Leche League of Coeur d’Alene: The La Leche League of CDA meets for a free “mothering class” that takes place the second Thursday of every month, from 10:30 – 12. Each month there is a discussion topic to talk and learn about while the kids play. The class is held in the Mother’s Haven Classroom.
Library Playdates: Our local libraries in Kootenai and Shoshone county do a wonderful job of providing free kids programming for all ages. Check out their list of programming for kids!
Lake City Mom’s Club: The Lake City Mom’s Club provides a place for kids age birth to 6 to run and play with friends; and for the caregiver, be it moms, dads or grandparents, to enjoy friendship and support. Join for Monday play group at the Community United Methodist Church (1470 W Hanley Ave) (9:30 – 11:00, first time FREE or join group for $20)
