Before I became a mother, I really didn’t fully appreciate the amazing women who hold that job title as much as I should have. I had no concept of just how much a mother DOES. I knew they changed diapers, and fed their babies, and kept them clothed. I knew that they spend time playing with and comforting their children. I DID NOT know how hard all of that could be.
Until I had my own baby, I didn’t realize that sometimes I would be chasing around said kiddo trying to get her dressed or to get her new diaper on. I didn’t realize that she would throw fits outside the bathroom door until I let her in. I didn’t have any idea that sometimes she would NEED to be on my chest in order to drift off to sleep.
Yes, being a mom is amazing. But it’s also really, really HARD. We can’t do it all by ourselves. We need each other. So this blog is my attempt at creating a village. I”ll be writing about my experiences as a mother: the good, the bad and the ugly. I’ll also be sharing with you my favorite tools for surviving this crazy train, as well as featuring the stories of mamas who inspire me. I hope that you’ll be able to use this blog as a resource, and if nothing else get a laugh out of it every now and then.
